1st year!!

Once upon a time I was thinking what would life be like in uk and how could I survive in that cold place far far away from home. Now, I officially completed my 1st year of uni in imperial college london. Wow that's fast... even faster than I thought it can be.

Studying in uk is the best experience I had in life. Before. I might have pictured myself in overseas or fear the harsh environment to study there, through medias, dramas movies, articles....etc. My experience proved me wrong. Studying here turned out beyond what I expected. Friendly people, beautiful country, lovely streets, freestyle life. I feel less worried, less fear, less anxiety in facing life. If i were to go for an interview, imagine 2 years ago after spm, I couldn't sleep for the night, nervous and scared. There are just too many things to learn here.

Surprisingly, I don't feel homesick. This is some kind of life I was dreaming to have. Days just pass by easily. Lectures, cooking, leisure time on swimming, jogging around the park, visiting London. And yea.. of course staying in uni halls is a great challenge, especially with a roommate.
This is not discouraging anybody to save money and get a share room in any uni. Just that there are infinite many various kinda attitudes and "traits" in this world that you can ever find out. So, you will meet these people when you share your room.

Of course, degree course is not that easy. Work hard doesnt mean you will get what you expected. We have to accept failures, and always try harder. I am glad that I never rely on tuition classes. Because they never ever feed you enough information in lectures here. Lets say they will teach you abc ... and they expect you to know how to write an essay. You will be like what the heck ??! I dont even know what is a word!! Yea... to all my fellow friends who are going to university, it will be like that, no spoon feeding, no notes, just work and thinking.

I think an extra credit studying overseas is learning how to take care of yourself. Especially cooking. Everybody start from a total noob from dont dare to touch raw chicken to pro. We tried everything here, from deep frying to baking, steaming to even making roti canai.

Few more hours I am going back to Malaysia, a all summer terrible hot place call home. Now I can understand why summer is so nice. Because its time to have fun and party!! Strip off thick jackets and walk out to the warm street. And yes, after exams means party like crazy !!

We had a bbq straight after our last paper. People just get drunk before the party start and lie on the grass, 1 even got send to hospital because of alcohol poisoning.
1 really dead guy lying on the grass with 1 pretending to be drunk.

And a must for exam after party: clubbing!

And then I went for a trip in Bournemouth for 3 days. Its a famous seaside in uk.2 hours away from london. The place is really wonderful, the scenary is just so fantasy like. But it gets kinda boring after a while... anyone like this place, you can try to apply for Bournemouth university hahaha.

The place look so sunny in summer, yeah, but its freaking cold, the wind is so strong and the temperature its about 15-18C. And the seawater, we tried to jump in to swim for 10 minutes, and ended up everybody shivering, its so cold, just like ice water. No wonder people still come to malaysia for sunny beaches.

The sea side is not like malaysia. Its a cliff around the coastal line with beaches at the bottom.
